Soundhouse Residency at the Traverse Theatre
Dominic Waxing Lyrical is Dominic Harris and friends. He released one of the stand out Edinburgh albums of the 90s (eponymous though sometimes thought to be called ‘simplicity’ released by Neptunes in 1996, last seen on discogs for £50 and rising) and did many memorable performances throughout that decade. Eighteen years later, his second album Woodland Casual came out on Tenement Records in 2015.
DWL’s latest offering Rural Tonic features both the regular band (whose backbone remains Aberfeldy) and innovative chamber group Mr. McFall’s Chamber lauded as ‘potentially the most important single development on the Scottish music scene for a long time’ – The Herald.
The band has toured extensively throughout Europe and the US, recording in Hendrix’s Electric Lady Studios in New York and appearing live on MTV. We’re delighted to host them for their Soundhouse at The Traverse debut. It’s going to be a wild, interesting, and, above all, joyful night of music.
